By agreeing to the following privacy policy, you consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data in compliance with data protection laws and the following provisions.
Personal Data
Personal data is information about the factual or personal circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address, your e-mail address, the IP address you use and all inventory data and, if applicable, content data that you provide to us when registering for our services, when creating your user account and when using our services.
This does not include statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our website and which cannot be linked to you personally. This includes, for example, statistics on which pages of the content offered are particularly popular or how many users access certain pages of the content.
We only use personal data within the scope of these provisions and in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act. All data protection regulations are strictly observed.
Collection and processing of personal data
We use the data on your use of the service (usage data) for technical processing.
When you visit our website, our web servers temporarily collect and store technical information (so-called log files) that your browser transmits to us: the domain name or IP address of your computer, the client's file request (file name and URL), the http response code and the website from which you are visiting us. The data collected is used for data security purposes, in particular to defend against attempted attacks and to stabilize operational security, and for statistical evaluations. They are deleted or anonymized after 7 days at the latest. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and manpower. The log files are neither used to create individual user profiles nor passed on to third parties.
In the case of competitions, we use your data for the purpose of notifying winners and advertising our offers. Detailed information can be found in our conditions of participation for the respective competition.
We also use your data for market and opinion research. Of course, we only use this data anonymously for statistical purposes and only for us (see conditions of participation for the respective survey or competition). Your answers to surveys will not be passed on to other third parties or published. We do not store the answers from our surveys together with your e-mail address or other personal data.
You hereby consent to us processing and using your personal data for market and opinion research for our own purposes.
Transfer of data
We only pass on your personal data if it is necessary to pass it on to processors for the purpose of implementing the user relationship. The data passed on in this way may only be used by our service providers to fulfill their task. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not take place with any of the service providers entrusted by us; in exceptional cases, we are legally obliged to transmit data to a requesting government agency. Beyond this, we do not pass on any data to third parties unless you have expressly consented to this.
Cookies, Localstorage and Sessionstorage
We use cookies (and also local storage/session storage) to make your visit to our website attractive and to make it easier for you to use certain functions. These are small text files that are stored on your hard disk or temporary memory and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser.
Most of the cookies we store are deleted again at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). In this way, we can optimize our website, improve content or personalization and simplify its use. Session cookies are cookies that are only stored on your computer for the duration of an internet session.
Other cookies remain on your hard drive and enable us to recognize your computer on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies) and thus simplify personalization and registration services on your next visits. In particular, these cookies enable you to enter certain information, such as your password or a language selection setting when logging in, only once and not have to repeat it constantly.
Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses.
Most browsers accept cookies by default. In the security settings of your browser, you can allow or prohibit temporary and permanent cookies independently of each other. If you deactivate cookies, certain functions on our website may not be available to you.
Cookies may also be stored on your device by third parties via our websites. You can prevent these cookies from being set by deactivating the acceptance of cookies from third-party providers in your internet browser.
Only pseudonymous data is stored in the cookies we use. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number and your personal data is not assigned to this identification number. Your name, your IP address or similar data that would enable the cookie to be assigned to you will not be placed in the cookie. Based on cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymous information, for example about what content was accessed, etc.
